ma24-1899 Maple burl block, cut: 10x8x7''. This block has been dead for several years.  Allow this slab to acclimate to your area for a few months. Work it, use it, but don't finish until dry.

I have over 1,000 quilted, curly, burl, and figured-grain pieces, mostly Redwood, Myrtle, Maple, and Poplar. As I am on the coast, most pieces are not totally dry. Of course, the best pieces always sell first wet or dry.  I have been cutting and selling craft burl woods from the Eureka, California area for over 60 years now, and I still learn something new about the woods every few days.
