mrt461 Myrtle burl slab.. Cut 50x46x1.75'' in Eureka, Calif. It looks like it is 36" not 46". Dead for 3 years. Myrtle is found in Oregon and Isreal and is the tree that the crusifex was made from.  Let this slab acclimate to your area for about 2 months. Work it, use it but no finish untill dry.
